Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA
Recommended by my brother-in-law, I picked up a six-pack of Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA at Once Upon a Vine yesterday. Tonight’s dinner was Boca burgers and homemade fries, a perfect meal to have a tasty IPA.
The first taste was rather unassuming. I’m a big Dogfish Head fan and I was expecting a big hop kick that I just didn’t get. Kat and I both thought it should be renamed Sierra Nevada Extra Week IPA.
The beer was still really good, just not what I was expecting. Not a huge amount of flavor in the first sip, but as I drank more a definite hop coat built in my mouth that tasted delicious. The hops were a great pairing with boca spice and the salty fries.
