Vida Organica Torrontés

What I was drinking on Thanksgiving. The buffet table was stacked with a bunch of reds to go with the beef tenderloin and pork butt (HURF), and the German white meant to go with the turkey hadn’t been opened yet. I wasn’t about to wait for the post-appetizer foods to be blessed before I got my hands on a drink, so I chose the Torrontés to go with my macaroni and cheese, cornbread stuffing, and collard greens. I can’t say I found it to be nearly as complex as the review I just read tells me it was; some grapefruit, some banana, a little sweet. Pointy, not sparkly. Had the desired effect on my wait for the run-up to the buffet line.

Incidentally, the house where I spent Thanksgiving houses many, many bottles of wine, but the beer choices were as follows: Heineken, Beck’s, Yuengling.
